This 1990 workout is simple enough for even first-time exercisers. Leslie Sansone and a roomful of women (whom she addresses as "girls") from her fitness center present 45 minutes of "walk-aerobics" consisting of four basic, low-impact moves: marching, low kicks, knee-ups, and side steps (also known as step-touch). Although Sansone sometimes adds directional and arm changes, the steps get repetitive. This might appeal to some beginners, but will bore exercisers who prefer the stimulation of variety, choreography, and/or challenge. Since the moves are so simple, it's incomprehensible why Sansone never catches on that she should cue the viewer's direction rather than her own. Her frequent "right, left, right, left" is annoying when we're actually doing "left, right, left, right," mirroring her. After the aerobics, you get 15 minutes of traditional floor work for the lower body and abdominals. --Joan Price

This dvd is excellent for those starting an exercise program or already have a routine in place. Why? You can start out with the low impact walking. The space requirements are only 5 square feet(good for small living quarters). No special equipment is required to start. The workout can be quite basic or you can make it complex with weights by adding high impact jogging as opposed to walking. The 4 mile portion can be made to a one mile portion and a cool down. Again beginners can start right away.

Another thing I liked about this dvd is that there were not complicated dancy moves. The exercisers were at various stages of fitness and age groups. This is true of all of Leslie Sansone's dvds/videos. I'm one who gets intimidated by an exercise group that looks like they could go to the Olympics.

Also these dvds have worked for myself. Even if you go to a fitness club on a regular basis this can be used for in between recovery days. If you do at home fitness this can be alternated with15-Minute Workouts for Dummiesfor hand weight training.

I received the DVD very quickly in the mail. It is sufficent for my needs. I am in shock that one of the segments is from the 70's however, the program is a real workout for me.

This is a great DVD to keep you moving and motivated. I just love it! I had borrowed it from the Public Library and liked it so much that decided to purchase a copy of my own. I had a sore leg before I started doing the 2 mile workout but not anymore! The workout is gentle, yet very effective. With a healthy diet, I have lost 5.5 lbs. in 2 weeks!
I plan to use both workouts for a very long long time!
I definetely recommend this DVD!!!

IF you can get past the 80's style clothing and hairdo, it's a great workout. The aerobics are excellent but not "hard" and the last 15 minutes of standard leg and abs workout is also good. A little slow at times with the change in music during the aerobics, but not anything you can't look past. I really enjoy the workout.
