No, this one's not as good as the one filmed in Paris. And no it doesn't matter that Rachel Brice and Ansuya do not perform, because BDSS still has-at least on this DVD-Sharon Kihara and Sonia, as well as flawless tribal dancers Moria Chappell and Samantha. Had it been two hours as had the Paris one, Babelesque-Tokyo might have been a draw.

Ths performance dvd is not what I expected !!! BDSS have lowered their quality in atleast this dvd production. I can not avoid comparing it to Live in Paris Dvd.Its like a bad copy of the previous. The stage setting seems like they lack money. Most of the dancers don't seem professional. Not so skilled. The new dance troupe is a shadow of the original BDSS troupe. In general I find 2 or 3 great choreographies, the rest seems amateur bellydancing. Can not help but miss Rachel Brice, Mardi Love, Ansuya and Amar Gamal!!
The great things : Sonia's drum solo is beautiful !! Love how she uses the stage. Adore's new dance piece is cool and entertaining. Petit Jamila is breathtaking. There is more folk dancing in some of the dances which is nice to see. Issam always wonderful !! Samantha is a smooth and interesting dancer. I hope to see more of her.Jillina is a great dance interpreter.
Not so great and disapointing: The Reggeaton dance piece is embarrasing. Seems like they had to fill in with what ever they could come up with. The Tribal dance pieces seem out of a hiphop video and you see them performed on other dvds. Kami Liddle and Samantha are lovely beautiful dancers, but its a hiphop overdose.. too much of the same. I adore Tribal but not the dances on this dvd. Beside that I find Sharon Kihara's dance skills overrated and feel like it all about her look. Her solo is annoying and one of the most disapointing dances I've seen in years. She tries to hard to be alternative and different. I's not contemporary or modern, it's not bellydance,it's not "interesting fusion", its just nasty.
The show all together is just a simply Ok. Its not exciting to watch like Folies Bergere.

I thought it was great to see another concert DVD by the superstars, and to have this show on DVD and not just the memory of seeing the show live is greatness, I love the choreography and formation changes the most, I think you can really see how they've improved since Folies Bergere.
